Best Chinese food in this neighborhood. I try to go there as much as I can. The food is reasonably prices. The people there are really nice, too, especially the boss lady! Love her!

Husband found this place and our entire meal only cost $13,inclusive of taxes. We ordered:
    1) 2 Chinese donuts - they cut them up but it was too doughy, only 2.5 stars
    2) 1 bowl of congee with lean pork - good
    3) 2 rice noodles with shrimp plate - good

Super affordable since we fed 2 people for under $13 total for morning breakfast.

I love cheap delicious hole in the wall's, and G&L is probably as cheap and as delicious and as hole in the wall as they come. It can probably hold about 10-15 people and seems to be run by an old Chinese couple.

The food costs single digits but looks like it weighs double digits. There's also a free bowl of hearty soup that comes with your meal, the kind that your Chinese mother probably made you if you ever got sick.

It's a bit of a drive if you live in the city, but if I lived closer I'd definitely be coming here every weekend.

Seriously waited until my phone charged so I could take a picture of this before I devoured it.

I ordered the oxtail and veggies over rice.see photo

    Cash only all gold
The oxtail solid 9.5/10. If it had better cuts would have been an easy 10 but for under 10 I'm not complaining .

Oxtail came with the usual Chinese
Braised sauce which is awesome over the veggies and rice .veggies came with fresh lettuce green onion Tofu potatoes and onions with this Chinese braised sauce infused with oxtail.  Got my lips smacking .
The tofu with the braised sauce totally surprised me as most restaurants leave the tofu out

Solid food in viz vally kindah reminds me of mariposa cafe oxtail hence the 4/5 stars and hygeninc kitchen haha

Ok hole in the wall, greasy Ma and Pa restaurant.  The food is tasty, the portions are reasonable.  Cash only.  But bring extra cash!  The prices for the same dish is different each visit.  Hard to find parking.  Allow extra time.
